Crazy Shoppers!
We received a Big W Toy Sale Catalouge in the mail the other week that had 130 pages of toys in it! We have a friend who works there and we'd planned to go in to the store this morning to layby some things right up until December for Ezekiel's birthday and Christmas. Our friend told us that the store actually opened at 12:01am and suggested that we get in there at that time to make sure we got what we wanted. She did mention that a couple of years ago the store was open for 24 hours and it didnt really work all that well because there wasnt many people around.
Jeremy ventured out last night with a small list of things to put on layby. I just realised that you dont have layby in Canada. It's where you just put things on hold for a few months and pay them off.
Anyways, Jeremy pulled up to a FULL car park and was met with a big crowd out the front of the store at midnight. When the store opened everyone run for the toy section and Jeremy got what he wanted and realised the layby line was becoming long in a very short amount of time. He ended up getting in line about 20 metres from the layby counter and it took him an hour to get to the counter!!
He got home at 1:30am this morning and as he was walking out he saw the layby line which had almost made a whole loop of the store it was that long, and the store is quiet big! So many people waiting to place things on layby.
Our friend sent me a text message with a 4am update saying that the store was still full of hundreds of shoppers and that the layby line was still as long as it was when Jeremy was there and that the store had taken over $80,000 worth of sales within 4 hours!
Isn't that just crazy!
We're all set now & dont have to think about birthday or Christmas presents!

Zeke @ A Backyard Makeover
We have a guy in our church, Ricki, who is great at photography.
Last Saturday our church did a makeover of a community house here in Bendigo that's situated in a very low socioeconomic area. We went there and painted everything, ripped out an old sandpit and relocated it and put new sand in it. Put new soft fall chips down in he playground, weeded, planted new trees etc. It was a great day and Ezekiel was a good helper and enjoyed playing on the playground.
Here's a few photos from the day. The first one is of Zeke at church one weekend.

Playing
The weekend is just about here.
We havent got a lot planned this weekend. We've been out and about in the garden ripping out plants and trimming back hedges. We're getting ready to plant some new plants at the front of our house that are drought resistant and can cope with little water.
The mornings are quite cold here but the days are beautiful. Zeke & I love getting outside to play and walk all over the place.
We're stuck home half the week cause Jeremy takes the car to work but we manage to keep ourselves occupied. Ezekiel LOVES drawing so much. He sat down the other day for almost a whole hour and did nothing but color in his coloring book of Thomas the Tank engine. That kid is obsessed with Thomas.
I'm just about to buy him a potty to start potty training him. Everytime we take his nappy off at night before a bath, he insists and HAS to do a nudie run all over the house and usually pees somewhere so I want to get him sitting on the potty!
A few weeks ago we turned the spare room into a playroom for him, which got rid of so many toys from the lounge room which was nice. He spends a lot of time in there playing with all sorts of toys that mostly his Nan-Nan buys him!
I went to look at beds the other day to see how much we'd be looking at spending. We hope to have one in his room by his 2nd birthday and start getting him to sleep in a big bed.
Here's a photo of Zeke playing in his play room today.

Alive...
Despite misplacing our camera when we got back from Canada, finding it again, taking a few pictures, trying to upload them to this website & the website continually freezing and not uploading the photos...we are all well!
Ezekiel's growing at a rapid rate and is as funny as ever! He says many words now along with letters and numbers, he really is quite clever. He's becoming more and more fearless everyday trying to jump off things all the time. He's getting a little naughty at times and is extremely painful at night at the moment! He has about 6 teeth on the way through so he hasnt been all that happy lately.
He's going through an obsession with shoes at the moment. He has to put them on and walk around the house in them. So there's a photo below!
We'll continue to keep this blog cause this has the very beginning of zeke's life & lots of videos and photos on it...if we dont up date it regularly enough for you then sign up on facebook.com for free, search for Meg Louise, cause it's way faster & easier for me to post photos there!
Later!

Supper in the Park...
We went to the Parkland to have supper the other night with the family & it was a gorgeous afternoon of about 23 degrees. Ezekiel run around the whole 3 hours we were there and loved playing on all the playgrounds. Dad took some great shots & here are a few for you to see! We're having a great time here in Canada!
Oh, and it was game day, so we had to put Zeke's jersey on & the Flames won 4-3 in an amazing game! I dont want to go home cause I'll miss them winning the Stanley Cup! =)

Zeke in the snow...
We have arrived in Canada safely after a very long flight. Zeke was really good on the plane and slept 8 hours. We were blessed to have been given a spare seat so he had some room to stretch out. We're all feeling pretty good, still a little tired.
We arrived to a very white Calgary and falling snow. It'll all melt away in a few days cause it suppose to warm up to +10 by the weekend!! So we took the opportunity to play in the snow today and here are a few photos! I'll post more soon. xx
Oops, having trouble uploading them. I'll try later on!

Funky New Hat
Ezekiel absolutely needed a new hat seeing as its been over 36 degrees for the last 5days! It's forcast to be 39 tomorrow and 38 for three days after that and then dropping way down to 19 by the end of next week, yay!
We're so ready to get to Canada where it'll be way way cooler than we've experience since we left to return home in 05.
Ezekiel has come down with a cold the last few days so he's been a little miserable, better getting it out of his system now rather than when we're flying.
I've got a check up with the doctor next week to make sure he's throat & ears are fine to fly.
17 days and counting!
xx

Things...
Jeremy, Ezekiel & I went to our friend Elisa's house for tea the other night along with her now fiance, Brady. Elisa has a puppy named Mischa who is about 3 months old. Zeke & Mischa has so much fun wearing each other out! Mischa was way too fast for Zeke and at one stage Zeke was chasing Mischa in a circle and Mischa took off and come up right behind Zeke and barked at him which absoutely scared Zeke! It was very funny. Here's a picture of Zeke & his new little friend =)
I'm speaking at church tomorrow morning at our family service so Jeremy took Ezekiel to the lake to feed the ducks. He only got a couple of photos because everytime Zeke took a piece of bread, he'd take off running toward the water so Jeremy had to run and chase him!
Here's a video of Zeke at the lake.

Zeke's Favorite Game!
Here's the latest video of Ezekiel's favorite game which consists of Jeremy chasing him around the house & Zeke screaming with delight (and as you will be able to hear, it is quite ear-piercing!) Zeke's cute because he hasnt figured out how to run yet so he tries to walk really fast, i love it!
Well, I have a smelly nappy to attend to, so enjoy the video!
Oh, the joys of parenthood! :P

Finally...
Our apologies.
Our phone line has had no dial tone for the last week and it's just been repaired on the weekend. I havent had a lot of time to sit down at the computer to check my emails let alone upload videos.
We have a girl named, Lotta, staying with us for the next 7 weeks. Lotta is from Finland and came out to Australia with 4 other girls to studying the English language and culture so we've been busy playing game and teaching them all our aussie slang! =)
Here's one video to keep everyone happy for the time being. I'll upload another 2 that I have on my computer tomorrow.
We havent been great on the photo taking the last couple of weeks so we'll have to get snapping again so we can post some more gorgeous photos of our very fast growing boy!
This rocking horse was a gift to Ezekiel from a young guy at church. Ezekiel is wearing my green elastic around he's head. One day he put it on and wouldnt take it off, he'd cry if I took it off. He soon discovered that if he pulled it down over he's eyes he couldnt see and thought it was lots of fun to walk around the house with the elastic over his eyes...oh, how easily boys are amused! ha ha!
xx
Oh, I had time to upload the others so here they are.
Zeke walking around the house in a circle whilst clapping he's hands. He is very clever!
This one...playing the piano on Christmas Day at Mum's! I have no idea why he's Dad showed him it...I think by the end of the day a few people had headaches as Zeke wanted to play it ALL THE TIME. If you tried to remove him from the piano he'd sure let you know how unhappy he was about that idea! :P

Sorry
For all those who have been anxiously awaiting new photos on here, I'm afraid you'll just have to wait a bit more. Our internet at home is down, so we haven't had a chance to upload all the cool and funny videos and pics we've taken over the past few days. Keep an eye out for the rocking horse video. It's a classic!
But it should be up and running in the next couple days.
Thanks for checking this blog! Happy New Year to all!
