In Rebuttal...

I have never seen so much hate in one place! Here I try to spread the love that comes from a pure Oiler heart and I get nothing but ridicule and rejection! Let me recap some of the phrases used:
So many brains ... so little wisdom!
...your many flaws
Heretic!
...wishful thinking certainly...
...you have forgotten your mother's teachings on the benefits of wearing a hat in strong sunshine...
...now you're hallucinating...
...You are seriously dilusional...
You have to wallow in misery with the rest of the Oiler degenerates.
Oh, I weep for my son

What happened?!? Instead of being racist, my whole family is team-ist. You seem to enjoy discriminating against my team.

Well, you know what I say?

You've had your chance. I gave this invite once...and only once. So, you're all shunned now. I will not accept any bandwagon flunkies when MacTavish leads the team to greatness. Kyle and I will greatly enjoy flaunting the victory in your face. I will not hold back...not now, and not ever! Oilers Rule!

As you sit there and smugly gloat in your Flames victorious season, you cannot understand what lies ahead. A man who rides a canoe canot see the waterfall until he is going over it. So, go ahead. Enjoy it while it lasts. But knowing my Oilers...it will not last long.

That is all.

Who are you calling "Lurch?!"

Did you happen to catch the score of the Oilers game on Saturday night against lowly St Louis? Mmmmm .... what was it again? Did the MacTavish followers fall on their faces? Were the St Louis Blues playing inspired hockey following the aftermath of the ceremonies to retire Al MacInnis' #2? Maybe it was all in my imagination. Watch out for Niagra Falls!

May they never make the playoffs.
Amen.

Alas, the great ocean that separates the Great White North from the Sunburnt Country has further removed my son from reality. He is under the increasing illusion that a team, that fails to beat even the lowly team named for a Walt Disney movie, can have dreams of hoisting Lord Stanley.
The man, who not only lives in a fog, chooses to walk deeper into that mist and dwell in his self-created fantasy. He is no longer able to distinguish between the realities in front of him and fantasyworld that he has built in his own mind.
Weep for the man... pity is all that is left for him!
