Yes, we actually do have a tired & grumpy baby. All you see though is that smiling little boy...well he's not like that all the time! :P

Hey! As you'll see he's get captivated with a tissue box in the corner of one of the videos cause the heater was making a tissue move back and forth and he had his eyes glued on it for ages!

More pics soon
Hello to all of you who read our blog!
Since we moved house last we have been unable to find our battery charger to charge our batteries in our digital camera. We know we have it somewhere but have searched through all the boxes and cant find it. We got by using Nate's when he was living with us. So since mid-Apr we havent taken any pics cause we havent had batteries for the camera. I went out and bought one yesterday so now we're back on with the pictures!
I'll post some soon.
Ezekiel is going great, although he's come down with a cold. Caught it from Jer or I cause we are both sick at the moment too. Isnt really fun at all.
Last night we moved out of the bedroom so Ezekiel now has a room of his own. I was up sooooo many times with him though, think he wasnt feeling very well. He's nose was all blocked and he had a bit of a temp.
Hopefully he'll have a better sleep tonight.
Ezekiel is 5 months old today! Time goes by SOOOO QUICKLY...
He's now on 3 meals a day and is loving all the food he's being given. He's also getting right up on his hands and tucking his knees up under himself rocking back and forwards as if he's about to start crawling.
It's as if the last week he's discovered that he has a tongue. He's been poking it out and trying to blow raspberries, with lots of encouragement from all his aunties and uncles! :P
He's favorite sound to make is a grunting noise...he does it all the time and very loud I might add.
Still loves his baths. We've just added a whole heap of bath toys to the bath the last few weeks and he just LOVES being in there playing with all the toys. He started to whinge the other night when we got him out cause he was having to much fun in there!
He's rolling around all over the place now and can move himself backwards effortlessly. No point in putting his toys in front of him cause he just slides backwards, instead we place toys metres behind him so that when he slides back he meets up with his toys. :)
So there's a brief update!
Love to everyone.

Welcome to the World of Food!
That's right...Ezekiel is about to be opened up to the world of food. He's been eating baby rice for the last few weeks now and it absolutely loving it!
We went to visit the child health nurse today and she is very happy with Ezekiel's progress. He now weighs over 15 pounds and is continuing on the same path as his father, grandfather and great grandfather when it comes to height.
Maree, our nurse, suggested that in the next few weeks we start to introduce vegetables such as sweet potato, potato and wait for it all the Canadians reading...yes, PUMPKIN. Yum Yum! Apparently they are the easiest veggies to digest.
The fun begins!
We're gonna get a high chair for Ezekiel next week so stay tuned for photos!

Check this out...
Here's a little video that I took the other night when Jeremy had Ezekiel on his lap. Ezekiel was in histerics because Jeremy was making funny noises at them. I grabbed the camera to record a video.
Because Zeke is so curious and stares at everything you cant take a video of him with the camera in his face or he stops smiling/laughing etc. cause he gets too busy looking at the camera! So that's why I filmed it the way I did so he wouldnt stop laughing.
He's now rolling over 3 times in a row seeing as he's worked out how to roll from his tummy to his back. I dont actually think he knows yet what he's doing and hasnt clicked on that he can roll back over to get his toys! Still learning.
He's also developed a new habit. Squealing at the top of his lungs...he thinks its hilarious!
He's just so much fun! xo

FINALLY...NEW PICTURES!
We had an amazing time with Jeremy's family here in Australia and found it extremely hard to say goodbye. Ezekiel was such an awesome little guy and was just perfect when we were flying. I said to Jeremy that God had to give us a child that liked flying because of all the rediculously long flights we'll be making between Australia and Canada for the rest of our lives!
Ezekiel is at such a fun stage right now. Becoming so much more interactive with the us and the big world...laughing, talking, sucking and chewing on absolutely EVERYTHING he can find, rolling over and all of that stuff. He is just a delight!
Enjoy the pics.

Especially for Gramps & Grandma!
I took this video on February 5th but have had a hard time uploading it but today I got it!
Needles...Ouch!
Tears were flowing this morning from Ezekiel, his Mum and his Nan-Nan!
I had to take him to get his 8 week immunisation needles this morning, something I wasnt at all looking forward to. Firstly, because I am petrified of needles and knew it was gonna hurt little Ezekiel and secondly, because I didnt want him to scream his head off.
I took my mum with me cause Jeremy was at work and I needed some moral support!
Ezekiel had 2 needles in the right leg and 1 in the left leg.
The first needle was for immunisation against Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis/Polio
The second needle was for immunisation against Hepatitis B (a booster shot)
The third needle was for immunisation against Pneumococcal
When we walked into the place all you could hear was screaming babies! When our number was called and I had to sit Ezekiel on my knee and hold his little leg really firm and that's when the tears started to fill my eyes as I looked at his little face!
I had tears in my eyes cause I knew the scream that was about to come and my mum had tears in her eyes cause I had tears in mine! he he...
Surely enough Ezekiel let out a mighty scream that kept getting louder and louder as each needle went into his leg...we had to wait 15 minutes after the injections just to make sure everything was ok.
He's been a little grumpy today but has been sleeping a lot like they said he would after having them!
I think his father can take him to get the next lot of needles in April! :D

Smart!
Hey, just a quick update.
Ezekiel continues to grow at a rapid rate! He's talking a whole heap and smiling a lot. He's neck is much stronger now and he's extremely alert and will respond to familiar voices really well. He's starting to grab on to objects and put them in his mouth. He loves tummy time on the floor and holds his head up great!
The past couple of days he's been drooling like crazy...he soaks his bibs and everyone's shoulder with his lovely saliva! The nurse today said that usually around 12 weeks babies start to produce more saliva and they dont know what to do with it yet so they spit it out!
I took him to get weighed today and he's now 11lb 14oz which is average for his age and his 60cm long which is above average on the charts....and he's a smart little cookie. He's doing everyting a 3 month old would do so he's 4 weeks advanced which the nurse, Marie, was very happy about.
Marie calls him 'her little giant!' She writes up some brief notes on her computer under his records and today she added in there "An extremely gorgeous baby!" he he...she loves him!
Post more pictures soon.

Check out my t-shirt!
Last week we bought a rocker for Ezekiel. He likes being on the floor but for only a short time because he enjoys sitting up and looking around at everything so much more. We had had enough of him sitting on our knee while we were eating tea but now he likes to be in his rocker so he can look around everywhere!
Oh, and don't you just love the t-shirt!? Someone from church bought it for Ezekiel and he loves wearing it! Jer wants to put it on him everyday! ha ha...
Hope you are all well. xoxo
